Innisfail Triathlon Sprint

Swim 750m - Innisfail Aquatic Centre
• Race participants will swim in a 25m pool in designated heats. The slowest swim times go in the first heat, followed by the remainder of the Sprint athletes. These will be followed by the Tri-it and Relay teams. To ensure accurate record keeping, we will be implementing a timing chip system for the race. We will also have volunteers counting lengths. If you need to pass, please do so on the left hand side of the swimmer in front of you and do so when it is safe. Lap counters will notify you by putting a kick board into the water, when you have 1 lap (2 lengths) to go. You will exit the same end you went in. Heats will start each time there is an empty lane.

Bike 20km - Town of Innisfail (see map below)
• It is an open road bike course which consists of a 10 km loop, this will be done twice for a total of 20 km. Volunteers and traffic marshals will be stopping traffic but BEWARE of cars on the roads and obey volunteers for your own safety. There will be two rail road crossings. Helmets must be CSA, ANSI or Snell approved and are required before you leave the transition area.

Run 5km - Town of Innisfail (see map below)
• Exit the clearly marked ‘Run Out’. Be sure your race number is still visible. The route is an out-and-back and will be on both trail and road so pay attention to vehicles. The route will be clearly marked with race volunteers.

* minimum age of participation in the Sprint is 16
